Marijuana Recipes Every Person Should Try

Cooking with cannabis provides a way for individuals to get the benefits of this substance without taking marijuana into their lungs. If you are grower of classic marijuana strains, all the cannabis plant clippings, leaves, or finished marijuana buds can be incorporated into your meals, and there are numerous recipes weed chefs can choose from. The following are a few you may wish to experiment with.

Cannabis Tinctures

Possibly one of the most simple means to turn cannabis into an ingestible product is to make a tincture with decarboxylated buds. As was classically done for many other herbs going back hundreds of years, you can achieve a fast and potent tincture by adding buds to a high-proof alcohol like whisky or vodka. If user have an alcohol-aversion, a vegetable glycerin base or MCT oil base can function just as well.

For an alcohol-free tincture recipe, gather together 2-¼ ounces of marijuana leaf and grind it up. Next, mix with one pint of vegetable glycerin and some flavoring herbs in a glass jar. The glycerin gives the tincture a taste similar to honey, but some people prefer to add lavender or mint to add more flavor.

Place the jar in a dark area, and allow it to sit for 60 days. It is important to shake the jar for approximately three minutes every day to ensure the glycerin and marijuana mix together fully. When the 60 days have passed, strain the leaf from the tincture using a coffee filter or French press before heating it to 212 degrees Fahrenheit for 90 minutes. This process, known as decarboxylation, activates the THC. A candy thermometer ensures the right temperature is maintained throughout the process, so be sure to have one on hand before starting the tincture.

Marijuana Butter

If you have ever made a batch of cookies or brownies using butter, then you can add marijuana butter to a wide range of recipes with ease. To make butter suitable for this purpose, decarboxylate the marijuana first. Once this has been done, mix 1-½ cup water with 8 ounces of melted or clarified butter in a saucepan and heat over very low heat. Once the butter is melted, stir in the decarboxylated cannabis and cover. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for four hours, stirring every 30 minutes to ensure the butter doesn’t burn. When the mixture has simmered the appropriate time, strain the butter to remove the marijuana matter. The butter then needs to cool to room temperature before it is stored for up to six months in a mason jar in the refrigerator or freezer.

Beverages serve as another great way to benefit from marijuana strains like

chemdawg cookies or jack herrer cbd without having to smoke them. Numerous recipes ensure every person can find a drink they love and want to consume regularly. Try one or more of these today to see which is your favorite.

Cool off with Strawberry Thai-Iced Tea on a hot summer day. Once you taste this treat, you’ll want to keep the supplies on hand so you can whip up the drink whenever temperatures start to climb. Boil eight cups of water and add six to eight Chai tea bags. Allow it to steep for approximately five minutes before removing the bags. Stir in a cup of sugar. Add one can of sweetened condensed milk to three to five tablespoons of melted cannabutter (recipe above) and mix. Pour the tea into a glass, filling it approximately two-thirds of the way, and fill the remainder of the glass with the butter mixture. This mixture sinks to the bottom when added, so be sure to have a spoon or straw on hand to stir the drink.

Cannamilk serves as another good base for many drinks. Pour two quarts of milk into a crockpot and add one to two grams of decarboxylated weed. Cook on high for one hour before lowing the temperature and cooking for an additional hour or two. Once the milk finishes cooking, strain it through a cheesecloth or coffee filter to remove the bud. Use this milk in a variety of drinks, including a pre-workout protein shake.

Combine one cup of cannamilk with two scoops of chocolate protein powder, half a banana, and one-fourth cup of spinach in a blender. Add a tablespoon of oats and ½ tablespoon of peanut butter. Blend until smooth and thick, approximately 30 to 60 seconds, and drink.  Feel free to experiment with other shakes, simply using cannamilk in place of the suggested liquid. Individuals who have used this shake recipe say a Sativa dominant strain like super lemon haze or strawberry cough weed

is best for a workout. If drinking the shake after a workout, definitely buy indica weed to help your mind and muscles to relax.

Sweets and Treats

When people think of marijuana edibles, brownies are a classic choice that often come to mind. However, this is only one of many sweets and treats that can be made with this substance. Try the dessert below to expand your horizons and tantalize your taste buds.

Weed firecrackers offer an easy way to enjoy a treat any time day or night. All that is needed to create this dessert is natural peanut butter, Ritz or graham crackers, and ½ gram of indoor marijuana or outdoor marijuana for each cracker. Be sure to use natural peanut butter for the best results and never try this recipe with chunky peanut butter varieties. The nuts make it difficult for the peanut oil to absorb the THC.

Start by preheating the oven to 220 degrees before finely chopping the marijuana. Take enough peanut butter for two crackers, place it in a bowl, and stir in the cannabis. Spread this mix over the crackers and make a sandwich by stacking one cracker on top of the other with the peanut butter covered sides facing each other. Wrap in tin foil, place in the preheated oven for 22 minutes, and enjoy. This is an excellent treat when you don’t want to share with others. They won’t smell the firecrackers when they are cooking, which means more for you.

Marijuana-Infused Oil

Countless recipes call for cooking oil. Why not replace your regular oil with oil infused with marijuana? This oil serves as one of the most adaptable cooking mediums available today and is easy to make at home. Choose your favorite cooking oil, most prefer coconut or olive, and one cup of cannabis that has been ground and decarboxylated. When grinding the cannabis, try to leave the pieces large enough to ensure they won’t make their way through the cloth or strainer used later in the process. Wrap the ground marijuana in cheesecloth and tie the cloth shut.

Combine the oil and cannabis in a saucepan, crockpot, or double boiler. Cooking the mixture takes three hours in a saucepan, four to six hours in a crockpot, and six to eight hours in a double boiler, so take this into consideration when determining which method you want to use. If using the double boiler or crockpot, you will need to stir the mixture occasionally. When using a saucepan, you must stir the mixture regularly to prevent burning. Regardless of which method is selected, the temperature of the oil should never exceed 240 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once the predetermined time has been reached, strain the mixture and capture the oil. Never squeeze the cheesecloth during this portion of the process, as doing so could put unnecessary chlorophyll in the oil. Any plant materials that remain should be thrown out. Store the oil at room temperature for two months, or place it in the refrigerator to preserve it longer.

Sauces provide another easy way to consume marijuana in edible form. For example, make a delicious homemade barbecue sauce and add some premium cannabis for a special treat. Combine two cups ketchup, one cup water, ½ cup apple cider vinegar, and ¼ cup cannabis oil (recipe above) in a pot.  Season with five tablespoons each of light brown sugar and white sugar before adding one tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, ½ tablespoon each of fresh ground black pepper, onion powder, and ground mustard. Stir ingredients until thoroughly mixed and simmer on low heat for approximately 15 minutes. Serve. Another option is to mix up some ketchup with cannabis and replace the ketchup and oil in this recipe with your personal marijuana-infused ketchup. The recipe is below.

Do you love mayonnaise? Do you add ketchup to everything you eat? Add some marijuana to everyday condiments for an easy way to get your daily dose of relief in a simple to use form. For instance, make your own ketchup and add some cannabis to the recipe. It’s easier than many imagine.

Combine two tablespoons canola oil, one diced Spanish onion, four cloves crushed and finely chopped garlic, and one tablespoon Kosher salt in a saucepan. Cook the mixture over medium heat for five minutes until it becomes translucent. Add four tablespoons of tomato paste and cook for an additional two to three minutes. Be sure to stir the mixture frequently so it won’t burn. Add in two teaspoons curry powder, one teaspoon ground mustard, ½ teaspoon allspice, and ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper and cook for another five minutes. The smell at this point will be amazing.

Stir in ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, turn the heat to low, and mix in ½ cup brown sugar along with a 28-ounce can of crushed tomatoes. Let this mixture cook for roughly 20 to 30 minutes, stirring every few minutes. The goal is to cook it until the mixture has reduced and is thick. Add 4 tablespoons of honey infused with cannabis and remove from heat. Let this sit for five minutes before running the ketchup through a blender to puree it.
